3 weeks?!

How did this happen?? 3 weeks of class left and I still have to do pretty much everything. This blog is a sad testament to my inability to accomplish anything. In September and October it's all "yeah I've got plenty of time, no worries, it'll all get done." But then nothing gets done and now... on November 9... things are bad. How bad? I've got 3 weeks to research and write 2 papers (30-35 pages each) and get 70 percent of my studying done for evidence. And evidence is closed book.

So I need to get started. I'm getting started now. Right now... after I finish this post. And there's a lot of tv I need to watch tonight. So I need to do that too.

Insanity. What kind of employee am I going to be?

"You need that by 3 TODAY? But you're only giving it to me now and I've already been at the office for 4 hours today. How about... Monday? Oh actually I'm taking Monday off to clean up my apartment. And I'm going to the gym on Tuesday morning. So... how about Tuesday afternoon-ish?"

"Your Honour, I'd like to request an adjournment. I know the trial begins today but it's Friday, and with all the good Thursday night tv last night I didn't get a chance to prepare my case. In the alternative to a postponement, my client's case really does speak for itself doesn't it?"

Does that work in the real world? Probably not. Damn.

Hey Darren. Nice to see you started on the blog again. Have you ever thought of writing a book? You have the best stories to observations. The baby story killed me! Although being in Vancouver, don't you see adults walking slow and screaming for three blocks or are all of them in Hope?!! Take care. Love Sherry.

Darren, it appears as though you're definitely up sh** creak and could use a paddling. (Seems as though Ms. Anonymous above would love to give you that paddling!) My advice, as a mature person well-seasoned to uber-stressful workloads, is this: Buy lots of good wine, hold a sangria party, smoke a "peace-pipe", THEN sit back and see an accurate perspective of things!

LOOLLLL!!!!!

I love your last scenario! It may work out for the best. Bring the judge good ol' pie! Everyone loves pie! And pie isn't illegal! So it's not bribing.
