One week down.... twelve to go
Week one, which, though only four days, seemed to stretch on forever, is over. My classes this term seem to be pretty okay for the first part. The only one that went full length was taxation with Kroft on Wednesday night so all in all it was a pretty easy week. Well okay, my charter class this morning went full length but I get that one twice a week so it wasn't the first class.
Charter is completely do-able and it seems fairly interesting (at least compared to the intellectual black hole that is known as legal institutions). Taxation, for a reason that is probably embedded in some deeply rooted masochistic tendencies within me, seems interesting as well. Sports law will be good, especially because it's one of those classes where I write a paper instead of a final (yeah right, catch me in mid November when I'm saying "why couldn't we just have a final it would be so much easier!!). Oh yeah, when I signed up for the class Brian Burke was slated to be one of the profs... then after his move to Anaheim he was replaced by some other guy who's not Brian Burke at all. Negotiation and dispute resolution is probably going to be my favoriate class. There are only fourteen people in the class and I think it would be a great area of the law to go into... aaaaaand I'm like the only one in the world who enjoyed the negotiation section of perspectives in first year so that bodes well for the experience. Intellectual property... now that is going to be TOUGH. Don't get me wrong here... copyrights, patents, and trademarks are pretty interesting, but the class is on Fridays from 2:30 til 5:30... ouch!! Although... I'll probably be able to drag my lazy ass over there most Fridays because of the extreme greatness of my schedule the rest of the time.
Mondays: Off
Tuesdays: One class from 3 til 6
Wednesdays: Suck badly
Thursdays: Off
Fridays: Suck a medium amount.
I just have to work on getting my energy levels back up so I can tackle another term... seriously I'm taking so many supplements that I think I'm going a bit crazy... or at least I'm going through an adjustment period. Tuesday all I had to do was get out of bed, go to the gym, and get to class. I barely made it on time. Seriously, I was this close to being late. For my 3 o'clock class. Okay so I need to improve a little on that.... but otherwise.... it's all good.
