A fine tradition of procrastination...

Well here I am again. The law library. As I sit here, I have to ask myself... how did I get here? I mean, I know how I got here. I got out of bed, caught the 99 b-line, entered the law building, and made an abrupt left just past the guy's bathroom. But how did I get here? Last time I was here the whole summer was spread out before me. My plan was month after month of beaches and sun and the avoidance of any real work. Where did it all go? What seemed like forever actually passed in a very short amount of time. It started off great with Banefest 2005 (someday I'll post some Banefest pics on here) but after that time just kind of sped up and days started to disappear. May was a total write off. I can barely name one thing I did during that month. June... July... August... I worked at the West Van Musuem... hung out with friends... helped Darren with some pageants... had a four day *vacation* in Penticton, spent some time with Ali... yeah that's about it. Don't get me wrong, it wasn't a bad summer by any means... just a super speedy quick one.

And now I'm back in the law library with another whole year spread out before me. Well okay eight months actually, and I'm sure it'll go just as fast as the four month summer that just ended. But doesn't that frighten anyone just a little? Time goes so fast... if four or eight months can go that fast what's to stop the next decade from doing the same thing, or the next thirty years, or the rest of my life??

Which brings me to another point. Why am I blogging? This is the year I'm going to get all my work done on time and give myself enough time to do it. I'm going to do all my readings and be an overall better student. So... day two of the school year... I have about twenty cover letters due on Friday (today is Wednesday) for summer 2006 positions... and I've just spent the last two hours blogging and surfing the net. Ah yes... let the procrastination begin... yes indeed.
